First thoughts

So I have had several friends and family members ask why I don't blog and really I have no idea why I should or who would want to read the day to day drama of our simple family but here you go.

We (Rob & I) are excited about 2009 purely because it has to be better for us than 2008. The positive included Jamaica, which is a huge positive. We had a great time together and look forward to visiting again sometime in the future. On the flip side we had 2 miscarriages, a tornado hit the neighborhood and Rob had surgery for a hernia. We also had more than our fair share of illness and minor injurues. Thankfully, Charlotte keeps us laughing even through the hard times but we are definately ready for a great 2009. Personally, I have decided to focus on health for this next year. It's a huge topic but I mean both physically and mentally. (I know spoken like a true therapist.) Rob wants to be outside more with Charlotte- which is funny because he already is really great at spending time with her. She got a bike for her birthday and a scooter from Santa and would like a new fishing pole, so his goal should be very attainable. :) As a family we hope to focus on the positive, give more to those in need and enjoy the smaller moments in life.

The remodeling for 2009 will include the master bedroom and bathroom as well as converting the unused dining room into my home office. (for those of you not in the loop, 2008 was a Pergola for the backyard and Charlotte's big girl room and 2007 was the Kitchen and bathroom) Everytime I think we are done, one of us gets another great idea.

We hope to visit California a few times this year and plan a family trip for the spring somewhere we haven't been before, maybe even camp. Of course the mini trips to Oklahoma, Lubbock and Emory also keep us busy.
