4 months and 6 years Check Ups

Char and RJ had their well checks yesterday. I laugh as I write this because in the last 2 weeks, our house has had the stomach flu and colds. We are all fine now it was just quite a rough few weeks. Both kiddos got a clean bill of health.
Charlotte conquered her fear of the doctor. She told Nurse Jenny she was nervous about getting a blood test but barely noticed when they did the finger prick she was fascinated with the machine and figuring out where the blood goes in for the reading. She's now 53 pounds and 47 inches tall (about the 85% for both). The doctor and 2 other nurses complimented her for being so well behaved and having a good attitude.  Yes, she earned brownie points, big time with me! I had my doubts about how it would go.

RJ was too busy flirting with the nurses to notice he was being examined. He does all sorts of fun tricks now including rolling over, spinning on his back and what we call the swim on his belly. He's grabbing at objects, has discovered his feet and hands, leaning towards things or people he wants and developing a temper when he doesn't get it. He's biting on everything, I don't see any teeth buds but he sure likes pretending.We started rice cereal last night and he loved it. He now weighs 14 pounds 5 ounces and is 25 1/2 inches long (smack in the middle at about 55% ). He cried briefly during his shots, but I think he was more mad about being held down than the shots.
