Happy Birthday Charlotte!

1st day of First Grade!

Can't believe we have a 7 year old! She is an amazing little girl (and I'm going to keep saying LITTLE GIRL for at least a few more years). There's so much to protect her from as she gets older and so aware of the world! My favorite Charlotte story of late was when we received a notice that they were taking the ice cream vending machines out of her school. You have to understand that as a Kindergartner they were not allowed to buy ice cream so starting first grade allowed this special rite of passage. Then 3 weeks into school they took it away she was dumbfounded. So, began the conversation about Michele O'bama's Nutrition Bill and let me just say I was trying really hard to just give her the facts and not let my opinion tamper her thoughts. After I broke down the politics into simple first grade terms, she huffed " are you kidding me?, the government isn't suppose get to control what kids eat, parents do! What about getting happiness?"

So now you know her political views but here's some other fun facts about Charlotte:
She loves being on her soccer team, it's purely social, I'm not sure she even likes the game but she loves being part of the team.
She is quite the fashionista and loves accessories!
This girl can sing. She's got music in her heart, she even wakes up singing!
She takes a hip hop/jazz class and now wants to be a dancer when she grows up.
She is an awesome big sister and helps out with retrieving binkies, entertaining RJ and pushing the stroller in stores.
We are so thankful for our Little Girl- Happy Birthday Charlotte!
