Well Rob and I experienced surgery with RJ in the Summer and that was a cake walk compared to the last week. (9/25-27) Garrett had a 2 night hospital stay at Children's for severe intestinal bleeding. After several tests, scans and a blood transfusion he's doing great. Although we don't have a true diagnosis, it's wonderful to have our little guy home and healthy. The specialists and our pediatrician agree that most likely it was a condition called Meckles Diverticula and it could reappear within the next year or so at that point it will be immediate surgery. However this could also be a one time event. Children's was amazing staff and facility wise but I would have rather not experienced it. We are just happy and blessed to be home.
Looks like I never got to post this one... Hmmm I wonder why?
